How much does washing machine repair cost in Singapore?
Every visit has a transport & diagnostic fee of S$40–60, which we tell you before booking. The repair itself depends on the fault and part: simple fixes such as a drain pump, door lock, belt or inlet valve cost far less than a new machine, while motor or control board (PCB) replacements cost more. You always receive the exact price on WhatsApp before we proceed, so there are no surprises.
Do you offer same-day washing machine or dryer repair?
Yes. We keep slots for same-day visits across Singapore, including evenings and weekends, and we take bookings every day from 8am to 11.30pm. WhatsApp a photo or video of the problem to +65 8011 8388 and we will confirm the earliest slot.
Is the transport & diagnostic fee waived if I repair?
The S$40–60 transport & diagnostic fee applies to every visit; it covers the technician’s travel and on-site assessment. It also applies if the machine turns out to be beyond economical repair or if you decide not to proceed after hearing the price. We will always confirm the total repair cost with you before starting work.
Which brands do you repair?
All major brands sold in Singapore, including Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Bosch, Panasonic, Hitachi, Toshiba, Whirlpool, Midea, Beko, Sharp, Fisher & Paykel, Candy, Smeg and Europace. We are an independent repair service, not a brand service centre, which is why we can usually come sooner.
Do you give a warranty on repairs?
Most repairs come with a 1-month warranty covering the specific repair carried out, and we issue an invoice on completion. Warranty may not apply to machines in very poor condition, and unrelated faults that appear later are quoted separately.
Is it worth repairing my washing machine or should I replace it?
As a rule of thumb, repair if the machine is under 8–10 years old and the repair costs less than half the price of an equivalent new unit. Because we diagnose from your video first, we will tell you honestly when replacement is the better option, and we can help with installation or a tested pre-owned set.
Which types of washing machine and dryer do you repair?
Both front-load and top-load washing machines, 2-in-1 washer-dryer combos, and every electric dryer type – vented, condenser and heat-pump, including stacked units. The one thing we do not service is gas dryers, which are rare in Singapore homes and need a licensed gas technician. And if your fault is not in our list of common problems, send us a video anyway – we repair far more than the symptoms shown.
Which areas in Singapore do you cover?
We serve the whole island – HDB flats, condominiums and landed homes. Our base is in Sembawang, so the North (Yishun, Woodlands, Canberra, Admiralty, Sembawang) and North-East (Ang Mo Kio, Punggol, Sengkang, Hougang) often get the fastest slots, but we travel everywhere from Jurong to Pasir Ris.
What information should I send on WhatsApp?
Three things help us quote accurately: the brand and model (usually on a sticker inside the door or on the back), a 10–20 second video of the problem (the noise, the error code, the leak), and your postal code. If the machine will not power on at all, a photo of the panel is enough.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most common repairs – drain pumps, door locks, belts, inlet valves, filters – take 20 to 60 minutes on site. Our technicians carry common parts, so the majority of jobs are completed on the first visit. If a special part has to be ordered, we tell you the lead time upfront.
Do you repair washer-dryer combos and heat-pump dryers?
Yes. We repair 2-in-1 washer-dryers, and vented, condenser and heat-pump dryers, as well as stacked units. We do not service gas dryers. Let us know if your dryer is stacked so the technician brings the right equipment.
Can you fix a washing machine that shows an error code?
Usually, yes. Error codes point to a system (water inlet, drainage, door lock, unbalanced load, motor or heating) rather than one part, so send us the code and the brand and we will explain what it most likely means and the cost to fix it. See our error code guide for the common ones.
Do you provide chemical wash or cleaning services?
Yes. We offer chemical wash and deep cleaning for washing machines with mould, smells or slimy residue, and lint and airflow cleaning for dryers. Cleaning is also a good idea after a repair on an older machine.
Do you sell pre-owned washing machines or dryers?
From time to time we have fully tested pre-owned washers, dryers and washer-dryer pairs available. Ask on WhatsApp or check our Carousell profile for current stock. We can also supply and install stacking kits.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is made on completion of the job. Ask the technician for your preferred method when booking – PayNow and cash are commonly used. An invoice is issued with your warranty.
Do you charge more for far locations?
No. The transport & diagnostic fee stays within the S$40–60 range islandwide, and we confirm the exact figure before you book.
Do you service condominiums with visitor registration?
Yes. Tell us the registration requirements when booking and we will provide the technician's name and vehicle details in advance.
Are you the official service centre for my brand?
No. Mike Washer & Dryer Services is an independent repair company serving Singapore for over a decade. Independent repair is usually faster and more affordable than brand service centres, especially for machines out of the manufacturer’s warranty. If your machine is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, we will tell you so you can use it first.
